Refund & cancellation policy

This policy explains what happens if you cancel work, and when money comes back. It applies alongside our terms of use and any signed service agreement, and it does not limit rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002.

Project work

• A deposit reserves capacity in our schedule and covers the discovery and design work that starts immediately. It is refundable in full if you cancel within seven days of paying it and before that work has started.
• After work has started, cancellation is in writing and you pay for the work completed to that date, invoiced against the milestones in the proposal. Anything already paid beyond that is refunded within fifteen business days.
• Everything produced and paid for is handed over on cancellation (designs, source code and assets), whether or not the project reached launch.
• If we cancel a project for a reason that is not your breach, we refund everything paid for work not yet delivered, without deduction.

Monthly services

Hosting, care, IT management and mailboxes are billed monthly in advance and may be cancelled at any time with thirty days' written notice.

• The current month is not pro-rated, and the service runs to the end of the notice period.
• Annual plans cancelled mid-term are refunded pro rata for complete unused months, less any discount that was given for paying annually.
• On cancellation we hand over the deployment, the data and the accounts. We do not hold a site or a domain against an unpaid invoice for a different service.
• Data is retained for thirty days after cancellation so you can retrieve it, then permanently deleted.

Third-party costs

Some things we buy on your behalf cannot be refunded once bought, because we cannot recover them either. These include domain registrations and renewals, software and font licences, stock imagery, and cloud consumption already used. We will always tell you before incurring a non-refundable cost.

If the work is not right

Tell us. Every project includes a revision allowance, and for thirty days after launch we fix defects in what we built at no charge. If a deliverable genuinely does not meet what the proposal described and we cannot put it right, we will refund the fee for that deliverable.

This is separate from a change of mind about a decision that was agreed and signed off, which is chargeable rework rather than a defect.

Your statutory rights

Where the Consumer Protection Act applies to you, section 14 gives cancellation rights on fixed-term agreements and section 54 gives you the right to services of a reasonable quality. Where a transaction is concluded electronically, section 44 of the ECT Act may give a seven-day cooling-off right. Nothing in this policy limits either.

How to cancel

Email info@bonangtech.com with your company name and what you are cancelling. We acknowledge within one business day and confirm the final position, including any refund, within five.
